East Boston Neighborhood Health Center opens.

It is initially affiliated with Boston City Hospital and located initially at 10 Gove Street. The center subsequently expands to provide services to residents of Chelsea, Everett, and Revere, takes over the South End Community Health Center in 2020, changes its name to Neighbor-Health in June 2024, and is currently located at 20 Maverick Square.
